The Art of Beginnings: Why I’m Starting a Weekly Painting Journey

The Art of Beginnings: Why I’m Starting a Weekly Painting Journey

After a long, gray winter where I felt creatively adrift, I’m finally feeling that familiar spark again. The world is alive, inspiration is everywhere, and I’m being pulled in a hundred different directions by beauty, color, memory, and movement. I don’t want to filter or restrict that flow. I just want to show up, paint what I feel, and let that be enough.

This summer, I’m giving myself permission to follow that pull.

Rather than planning a big themed collection or trying to fit into a particular style or subject, I’m beginning a new rhythm: a weekly painting practice rooted in exploration, trust, and presence. Each week I’ll create and release an original painting: whatever comes through in that moment; shared simply, without the buildup of a traditional launch.

I’m calling this project The Quiet Collection, and it begins next week!

More than anything, this is about rebuilding trust in my practice. It’s about making space to create what I want to create, when I want to create it, and sharing it in real time. Not months after it’s finished. Not perfectly thought out and presented. Just honestly, as it unfolds.

Each piece will be released on Thursdays at 12pm EST, with a special early collector’s price for the first 24 hours. After that, it returns to its regular price. A little thank-you to those who are here for the journey. As always, subscribers will get an early preview and option to purchase via email. Sign up HERE.

I hope this feels like a gentil invitation to follow along. Not just to see new work each week, but to feel the rhythm of a creative life as it moves slowly, intentionally, with the seasons. I’ll share sneak peeks on Instagram and send the finished piece straight to your inbox each Thursday.

If you're curious, stay close. The full story begins next week.
