Spring in Full Bloom

Spring in Full Bloom

There’s something about late spring, when the world has fully shaken off the grayness of winter and leans confidently into green, that feels like a deep exhale.

Everywhere I turn, there is life: fresh leaves rustling, clusters of wildflowers opening along the trails, and birdsong that begins before dawn and lingers into evening. It’s a season that feels lush and refreshing, like the earth is offering us a long, slow drink of renewal.

Lately I’ve found myself exploring new terrain again, both literally and creatively. We’ve been venturing onto unfamiliar paths near our home, weaving between old favorites and fresh discoveries. In the studio, that same sense of curiosity is guiding me. I've been tackling new subject, new color schemes. Spring always seems to usher in that feeling: the courage to grow, even in unfamiliar directions.

It’s also a time when florals begin to make their way back into my work. Not just as visual inspiration, but as a reminder of softness, resilience, and color. There’s something so grounding about painting flowers. It slows me down, helps me notice, and brings a bit of that quiet joy indoors.

If you find yourself craving a piece of this season to keep with you, I currently have several floral paintings available on my website. Each one is an ode to stillness and seasonal beauty, made to bring a moment of calm into your home.

You can browse available florals here and floral prints here or reach out if something speaks to you. I’d love to hear which pieces resonate.
